The Kingston Daily Freeman posted an AP story about pay increases for the Governor’s inner circle staff. The Governor blows off the criticism stating that it is part of a “ net cut in executive chamber pay” because he “ eliminated some jobs and cut executive spending by 10 % over all.”
It would seem to me that if he held the line on the salaries of the remaining staff, he could have increased his budget cut the $ 250,000 figure referenced in the article
Those of you who are private sector business owners and employees would love to have a pay increase in 2009 wouldn’t you.
